Youth Music Clinics invite youth of all ages to spend an evening in a nurturing, non-violent environment as they learn about music. Clinics, which are led by some of the city's great musicians. Music Clinics consist of an instruction period, a dinner break, and an informal jam session. Young musicians learn basic techniques on a range of instruments-trumpet, drums, saxophone, trombone, clarinet, guitar and violin, among others-and get the chance to explore the world of music and meet some of the city's great musicians. The music clinics offer young people a positive after-school activity and are offered at no cost to the participants. Family members and friends of the young musicians are encouraged to attend, as we strive at building a positive community to envelope the students' musical experience.
